Few golfers will forget the experience of driving from Belgrade Lakes 1st tee. Perched some 200 feet above the lakes, and over 100 feet above the landing area, it offers majestic views of Great and Long ponds which stretch for miles. Although the hole is 430 yards from the back tees, it plays shorter due to the elevation drops. It was designed to have an oversized fairway to assist golfers in getting away to a clean and speedy start. The second shot - which is also substantially down hill - plays to a green which has an interesting bail-out area on the right. Taking advantage of this, though, the golfer will still have a testy little chip over a bank which is fringed with semi-rough. This hole contains no bunkers.
