The
routing of this hole started as one of the most awkward to deal with. Massive
amounts of rock were piled along the slope by the 6th green in order to create
enough level ground for the teeing area. Due to drainage concerns, two large rock
filled ditches divide the hole. One separates the tees from the fairway, the other
the fairway from the approach and green. A low iron is all that is needed off
the tee, for accuracy, not distance is what is needed here. There is only one
bunker on this hole, along the left side of the green. That, combined with the
rock river bed, and the fact that the green was shelved into a long slow slope,
add quite a perspective to the second shot.
