This Par-4 presents the greatest optical illusion on the course. Although its yardage is seemingly short, the green seems to stretch far off in the distance. It also has a ‘figure 8’ fairway, which nips into a tight waist protected by two bunkers on the right. According to tee placement and wind direction, the golfer will have to make a choice as to whether to lay up into the first part of the ‘8’ or risk a carry through the narrow neck into the second landing area. The second shot is very much a question of depth perception as the green is slightly higher than the fairway.
